I am a London based drinks writer, working at The Whisky Exchange as website content editor. I used to be a software engineer in the financial services world, but after a decade the siren song of the drinks industry lured me away.

I also like The Future and play around with books, photography, music and online interaction. I occasionally do a bit of recreational drinking and computer programming on the side...

I write my own booze blog over at bbblog.org.uk. It stands for Billy's Booze Blog. I like acronyms.

I also occasionally write a more general blog over at cowfish.org.uk where you can probably learn many more things about me, most of which you probably don't want to know.

I can be found online under the nicknames cowfish or billyabbott. Or sometimes meatrobot. It depends what's left...

While my name is actually Chris (as noted above), I am generally known as Billy, hence the name of the site. The story as to why is not as interesting as people often hope.
